Earning LEED certification is an exciting and admirable accomplishment, but publicly celebrating the achievement is also important, to spread the word, demonstrate excellence in green building and inspire others. With that in mind, we were thrilled to participate last month in unveiling the LEED Silver plaque at the Agrarian Hotel in Arroyo Grande, California.
City Manager Whitney McDonald presented a certificate of appreciation to owner Mike Panchal, recognizing that a LEED building supports the climate action goals of the city, promotes a healthy community and enhances a thriving downtown economy. Architect Steve Puglisi and I made remarks as well, recognizing the owner’s vision, thanking the entire team and highlighting the green building strategies.
