Agrarian Hotel - Arroyo Grande, California
LEED CERTIFICATION, GREEN CONSULTING, CAL GREEN
Program: 54-room, 30,000 SF Hotel
Achievements: LEED-NC Silver Certification
The Agrarian Hotel is the first New Construction project to earn LEED certification in the City of Arroyo Grande. The 30,000 SF, 2-story hotel used LEED as a framework for implementing practical and measurable strategies to promote sustainability and provide a healthier, more comfortable environment for both guests and employees. Green building strategies used in this project include a large solar array on the roof, native and adaptive plant selections, waste diversion, and site selection. The site is centrally located downtown in Arroyo Grande, limiting the need for a car, and providing a great pedestrian walkway by the creek.
